Description

These high performance masking dots are silicone free and provide excellent adhesion whilst being competitively priced. SCH have been using these dots in their own conformal coating services and have done for more than 10 years.

We carried out a large amount of research with products in the market over a long period of time and found them unsuitable.

Finally, we found a range of dots that were compatible with our processed and we now use them in our own conformal coating services. Therefore, these masking dots are a tried and tested solution for conformal coating processing

Additional Information

Our dedicated range of masking dots are compatible for all conformal coating production processes.

Typically, generally available masking dots and tapes found on the market have a range of problems when used for conformal coating processing.

These problems include:

  • Causing de-wetting around the outside of the dot where the conformal coating pulls away from.
  • Leaving residues when removed which need to be removed as an extra process.
  • Allowing bleeding of the conformal coating under the dot during application.
  • Tearing when removed, making it difficult to process.
  • Reacting in an adverse way with the conformal coating material.

For an efficient production process it is crucial to minimize these effects as much as possible and provide perfect protection to ensure areas remain free of the conformal coating.
